Coriano
Coriano descends from the world famous progenitor Corrado I out of the influential mare Option (Lord x Ramiro Z, Holsteiner lineage 318d2) who we also know as grandam of the stallions Corofino I-II (Corrado I) and the international show jumping horse Cabrio (Corrado I) under Toni Haßmann. The impressive stallion Diarado (Diamant de Semilly), champion of the Holsteiner stallion selection of last year, is also a product of Option. Coriano completed his stallion performance test with a rating of class 1, having achieved many scores of ten for character, performance ability and predisposition for jumping. He won classes at all levels in Germany and as a 6 year old was champion of the Federal German Riding horse championships. He went to international success under Bo Kristoffersen and won the CSIO in Sweden in 1997. Coriano is famous for producing easily trainable horses and his stock fetch top prices at most auctions. Owned by the Holsteiner Verband, Coriano is now leased to studbook Zangersheide and is their most important and accomplished sire. The fact that Coriano Z passes on his show jumping qualities to his offspring is demonstrated by a large number of products from his first breeding seasons who are now performing at international level, such as Curtis (Piet Raymakers), Cargho (Felix Hassmann), Joy FPG (Peter Wylde), Condios (Dermot Lennon) and Cyrano de Bergerac (Franke Sloothaak).
